Dance Instructors

Meet the D.D.A. Faculty!

Miss Darcy

Darcy opened the academy in 2004 and is very excited to share her dance experience with students from the Malden area. She began dancing at the age of three and as a young dancer enjoyed performing with the Northeast Ballet and the Ballet Theater of Boston. Darcy is a graduate of Salem State College, where she received a B.S. degree in Business Administration and Dance. While at S.S.C. she was an active member with the Repertory Dance Theatre, serving as the President in 2003-2004. She is a past member of the Boston Cannons Dance Team, the professional lacrosse team of New England. Darcy is a certified member of the Dance Teachers’ Club of Boston.  Darcy's greatest accomplishments are her three beautiful children Alivia, Jaxson, and Jamison.


Mr. Mark

Mark was born and raised in Medford, and has been dancing since the age of three. He studied dance at a local dance studio in Medford where he worked his way up from being a student, member of the competition team, and a dance instructor. Mark attended Salem State University where he participated with the Repertory Dance Theatre as a dancer, choreographer, and Vice President. Mark attended and graduated from the Dance Teachers' Club of Boston, Inc. and The American Society, Dance Education Training Course in 2005. He is a very active member of DTCB/AS, where he served in the nominating committee, as a DETC advisor, and currently serving as President. He also has his membership with Dance Masters of New England, Chapter 5. Mark enjoys sharing his love and passion for dance with all his students, and working with the competition team. He continues to further his dance education and training by attending dance classes and workshops to gain knowledge to be able to share it with his students. Mark enjoys traveling to other studios as a guest instructor, mentor and advisor and even judging regional dance competitions in New England.


Miss Dianne

Dianne has been dancing since age 3. She as served as a student, teacher, and recital production manager for Darcy's Dance Academy since joining in the fall of 2006. In addition to DDA, Dianne ran the preschool dance program at Hill House in Boston's Beacon Hill neighborhood. Dianne is a graduate of the College of the Holy Cross and holds a B.A. in Theater and Deaf Studies. Dianne had spent ten years as a fundraising professional and event planner for various nonprofits in Boston. When not at the studio, Dianne can be found at home with her husband and three young children, Harrison, Jackson and Cecilia. 


Miss Ashley

Ashley began her dancing career at the age of two. Prior to joining Darcy’s Dance Academy, Ashley trained for five years at a local studio followed by nine years of classical training with the Boston Ballet.   She held the regional title of "Miss Dance Ovations 2012".  She enjoys sharing her love for dance with all the students at DDA. 


Miss Lauren

Lauren started dancing at the age of four at a local dance studio taking classes in jazz, tap, ballet, pointe, and acrobatics. In 2008, Lauren was the Dance Master of Americas Acrobat scholarship winner. Lauren has done some work  in dance modeling for FINA, Dansco, and Dan Doke dance photography.Lauren is certified in Acrobatic Art Training, and is very excited to share her love with acrobatics with her students.

Cassanda George

Cassandra is very excited to be join the DDA staff this year! Cassandra is a 2006 graduate of Pine Manor College. She has been a dance instructor for the past nine years and enjoys working with kids of all ages.
